Mr. Murder

Martin Stillwater has built the kind of life most people want. He is a successful writer with a large house, a beautiful wife and two healthy, happy children. Even so, he carries a nagging sense that something terrible is on its way, and he cannot explain where the feeling comes from. Then one bad moment in an otherwise ordinary day sets him on a path toward a killer. This man has hardly any identity of his own and is desperate to become someone. What he wants is not money or revenge but Martin's home, Martin's family and Martin's whole life. Mr. Murder is a suspense novel about identity, and about how fragile an ordinary, happy existence can be when someone is determined to take it over. Dean Koontz builds the tension around a man forced to defend everything he has against an enemy who wants to be him.
