Mr. Smithfield

A London household is looking for a nanny for a four-year-old girl, and the job calls for someone who can keep up with a demanding employer. He is a lawyer and a single father whose reserved manner has earned him a reputation as the most serious man in the city. Since his wife left three years ago, his attention has gone entirely to his daughter. The one woman who has caught his eye in that time is Autumn Lumen, his best friend's sister-in-law, which makes her firmly off-limits.

Autumn is only in London for a visit from Oregon, so keeping his distance seems manageable. Then she decides to move to the city, the nanny resigns, and Autumn turns out to be the only candidate for the position. The novel is a romance that mixes intense attraction with a strong focus on family.
