Murder Spike

A man's body is found perched on a statue in the town square, and the local police have little to go on. Journalist Stacey Logan discovers the scene on her way home and, sensing a story, takes some photographs for her newspaper. She then phones her husband, Ben James, a police officer, who arrives quickly with colleagues. Once natural causes are ruled out, the officers must work out who wanted the victim dead, but their progress is slow, so Stacey begins looking into the case herself.

Before long, a second corpse turns up in strikingly similar circumstances. The story unfolds in a small town in Wales, and the question hanging over it is whether a serial killer is at large there and, if so, what motive is behind the killings.
