My Dearest Jonah

The story opens with a pen-pal arrangement that brings Verity and Jonah together. They have never met, yet they share their daily lives, their hopes and their dreams through letters. Verity is portrayed as delicate and easily undone, and she later looks back on the path that led her to fall apart so badly.

Jonah has recently walked free after many years behind bars. He wants nothing more than a calm, ordinary existence, but a grim reminder from his past threatens to pull him back into old patterns. As the two of them lean on each other, their correspondence becomes the one steady thing in lives that are growing more complicated.

Their bond deepens into a tender, careful love, yet it is gradually clouded by menacing forces that grow stronger over time.
