Positive attitude and good mental and physical health is our best hope’: battle against Parkinson’s Disease A 67 years old retired Army ENT surgeon living with PD for over 18 years talks about the disease ,his experiences and how he is coping on this roller coaster journey. Dr Col Anil Kakkar, a retired Senior Adviser ENT was diagnosed with PD at the young age of 49 when he was at the peak of his career. He was medically downgraded as per Army rules & regulations this curtailed his further promotions. He however, continued in the same rank and appointment performing his professional work for the next 9 years till his superannuation.
