Naruto #1-3

This collection gathers the first three volumes of the Naruto manga, printed in the original right-to-left Japanese reading order and rated T for teens. The story opens in a ninja village called Hidden Leaf, which was struck long ago by a monstrous nine-tailed fox spirit. That attack killed the village's leader, the Hokage, along with many other residents.

Years later the village has settled into peace. Its central figure is Naruto, a mischievous young student at the Ninja Academy who is having trouble passing his final exams. He dreams of one day taking the Hokage's role, though the path ahead turns out to be far more tangled than he expects. These opening chapters set the adventure in motion.
