Nemesis

Special Agent Lacey Sherlock is in New York when a man armed with a grenade tries to attack JFK airport. She stops him, but the arrest solves nothing. Almost at once a second plot comes to light, this one involving a bomb at St. Patrick's Cathedral, and it becomes clear the airport incident was only the first move.

Her husband and fellow agent, Dillon Savich, is working a different case. With Agent Griffin Hammersmith's help, he is hunting a killer who seems to have the power to bend other people to his will and make them act for him. That makes the man very hard to find, and very hard to stop.

The two investigations collide when someone makes an attempt on Savich's life. Sherlock and Savich now have to deal with the terrorist threat and the controlling murderer together, while every hour that passes puts more people at risk. Nemesis is an entry in Catherine Coulter's FBI Thriller series, and it suits readers who like fast, plot-driven stories with several threats closing in at once.
