Nevron

Nevron is a fantasy about a herd of white, winged horses, whose leader Mefalon is outraged when his mate, Sabrion, gives birth to a blue-winged colt. He wants to destroy the foal, but Sabrion refuses to allow this. She promises to take the colt far away. When Mefalon returns to the herd, he lies, telling them the colt was born dead and convinces the Council to allow him to take a beautiful new mate. Sabrion flies with her baby to Fairyland where Queen Ena and the fairies that protect the herd welcome them. Queen Ena appoints Olin, a blue butterfly fairy, Nevron’s guardian. Olin teaches and prepares Nevron until he is a strong young stallion. Nevron must fight fierce enemies to save the herd from destruction and claim his birthright. This story is designed to impart a message about the importance of tolerance and diversity through the metaphor of fanciful fictional characters.
