Ninthborn

Ediline was born eight minutes after her twin brother, and that timing has marked her as the cursed ninthborn for life. To her family she is worth nothing.

When Javras arrives in her kingdom with a warning of a coming danger, Ediline is ordered to win his favor while posing as the eighth-born princess. His father carries the bloodsword, a blade tied to the traitor god, and he has come to impose peace. As Ediline spends more time with Javras, the deception weighs on her. Telling him the truth would be fatal.

With the feared arrival close at hand, Ediline has no allies left. Trapped with no clear escape, she settles on a bold plan: she will steal the sword for herself. The choice may cost her life, or it may protect the entire continent.
