Noah's ark

Ali Bobrow is a dreamy single parent with a anxious nine-year-old daughter, a spiteful former husband whose new wife is grasping, and an artistic talent she hardly uses. She cannot say no to needy neighbours or to children who turn up uninvited, so her home has become the neighbourhood drop-in centre.

Then she collides with Noah Glazer, who falls for her pale red hair. He is a steady man of science, and he enters her crowded life bringing common sense, order and security.

Ten years later, Ali is pulled back into the tangles of her past. An old lover, two ex-spouses, a colleague from clown school and a small smuggled cat all conspire to unsettle the life she and Noah have built.
