Not My Problem

Aideen has more troubles than she knows how to handle. Her only close friend is slowly drifting away, her mother's drinking is a constant worry, and she is running low on fake illnesses that will get her out of PE. Then she comes across Meabh Kowalski, her longtime rival and the most driven student in school, in the middle of a complete breakdown. Compared with her own situation, Meabh's problem looks easy to fix. Meabh wants out from under her crushing load of extracurriculars, and Aideen offers to help in a way that involves pushing Meabh down the stairs. The resulting sprained ankle gives Meabh the perfect excuse to drop her schedule.

When another student discovers the scheme and sends Aideen a second client with a problem of their own, Aideen finds herself in a semester of favors traded back and forth, reckless schemes, and a love interest she never expected. The story follows her as she takes on other people's messes, a habit that cannot touch the ones at home but may be the nudge she needs to finally act on her own life.
