NihonGO NOW! Level 2 is intermediate courseware for learning Japanese, built on a method it calls performed culture. It aims to pair an understanding of grammatical structure with repeated chances to experience the language in its cultural setting. From the first lesson, learners work with authentic, context-aware, culturally consistent examples.

Class time goes mainly to practicing exchanges that learners are likely to meet later, whether they involve speaking, listening, writing or reading. The level consists of two textbooks, each with its own activity book. Together with audio and video files, these four volumes let teachers tailor an intermediate course, such as a second- or third-year college Japanese class, to their students. The emphasis falls on language and modeled behavior, with learners acquiring the language through performance templates.
