Now or Never

In Now or Never, a Stephanie Plum novel set in Trenton, New Jersey, Stephanie has accepted marriage proposals from both Morelli and Ranger. She now has two fiancés and no plan, and given how her life tends to go, she may not survive long enough to marry either of them.

While she buys time, she throws herself into bounty hunting, with an unusually mixed group of fugitives to catch. Eugene Fleck seems to be a sweet online influencer, but he may also be the YouTube star Robin Hoodie, a masked champion of the homeless who hijacks delivery trucks and hands out the goods to people in need. Bruno Jug is a wealthy, well-connected produce wholesaler rumored to traffic young girls along with the lettuce and tomatoes. Scariest of all is Zoran, who manages a laundromat by day and calls himself a vampire by night, with an appetite for the blood of pretty girls. When he turns up at Stephanie's door, he is not there for the meatloaf dinner.

Lula, Connie and Grandma Mazur lend their usual timely help as Stephanie tries every trick she knows to bring these men in. The decision about Ranger and Morelli is hers alone, though, and she cannot keep both men waiting much longer. She is also keeping a secret from them that is the biggest surprise of all, and she has to make the choice of her life.
