Obsessed with Bugs

Anyone curious about bugs, from young children to adults, can take up insect collecting with this introduction to the pastime. The hobby teaches people about the variety of life around them, and the specimens collected are useful to researchers in areas such as taxonomy and pest management.

Most of the book is practical. It explains the methods and gear needed to catch insects, then shows how to pin and mount each one correctly. A later section focuses on housing a finished collection so that the preserved specimens can stay in good condition for decades.
