This is a college hockey romance told in two voices.

Killian is in his last season on the Camrose Rams and is determined to help the team reach the championships. Whether he gets to play depends on his grade in statistics, so he needs a tutor. The only person his professor trusts to help is Maddox, who won't give him the time of day. Killian has had his eye on Maddox since the first time he saw him, and he refuses to give up on what may be his last chance to get close.

Maddox, for his part, doesn't do jocks. He doesn't befriend them, date them or tutor them, not after everything that happened before. But Killian is loud, charming and relentlessly persistent, and he looks at Maddox as if he hung the moon. Maddox ends up tutoring him and letting him into parts of his life he has kept closed off.

He tries to keep his distance, but Killian is everything he swore to avoid and exactly what he can't resist.
