Operation Watchtower

Operation Watchtower follows the First People of Evolution, an anarchist group reportedly backed by Chinese communists, as it readies a spectacular terror strike aimed at killing Israeli representatives. Israel's Mossad has learned of the group, and its leader, Herman Baader, has spent years nursing a grudge that he now plans to settle by setting off a worldwide wave of disorder.

Karl Gruben and his team of agents uncover the plot and must act quickly, using whatever methods they can to stop it. As the deadline closes in, Gruben begins to suspect that someone inside Mossad has been feeding information to the enemy. Baader knows the agency is watching him, but with his goal within reach, he sees no way to back down.

Gruben and his colleagues face a race against the clock, including a train speeding toward a bridge wired to explode. The question is whether they can stop it, and whether the traitor in their ranks will save himself or give his life in the attempt. With the world depending on Gruben, the story moves toward an outcome that neither side expects.
