Other Half

Victor Bayne never pictured himself as a marriage type, but an undercover assignment posing as one half of a married couple has changed his mind. Jacob Marks wanted to settle down from the start, so when Vic proposed, the wedding seemed set to go off without a hitch. Then new findings surface that tie the couple's future to decades of psychic experimentation and secret dealings.

Vic suspects he could have been someone's test subject, but the name on the list of subjects is Jacob's, not his. Pulling together a wedding on a tight schedule is hard enough without a covert investigation running alongside it. Vic has to get through premarital counseling, flower disasters, and a notoriously difficult baker, all while asking whether he really knows the man he is about to marry.

This is part of PsyCop, an ongoing series that mixes supernatural action with awkward comedy and a running gay romance. The books are best read in order, so newcomers should start with the first volume, Among the Living.
