Outside In

Doubting that they could ever be a leader, the narrator has nonetheless shown that the world known as Inside is not the whole of existence. Learning that a larger reality lies beyond the sealed, cube-shaped city has sparked an uprising between the lowly workers and the privileged elite who once governed them. That old ruling class has fallen, and the narrator believes the freedom won in the fight means they are free to move on alone, though staying in touch with Riley, the one member of the upper class they feel they can trust, still matters. But the discovery that the outside world holds a far more dangerous Outside raises the stakes. A threat from that Outside is now pushing its way in.
