Pacho Nacho

When Pacho was born, his parents could not decide what to call their first child, and every relative had a suggestion. The compromise was a name made of all of them: Pacho-Nacho-Nico-Tico-Melo-Felo-Kiko-Rico. His parents expect everyone to use the whole thing, every time.

That becomes a real problem when Pacho gets into trouble. His younger brother, Juan, has to run for help right away, but calling for someone with such a long name slows him down just when speed matters most.

Silvia López tells the story as an energetic, silly, interactive picture book, and uses it to explore family values, ties within a community, and the bond between brothers. It is based on an old Japanese folktale, and it includes Spanish words and phrases and multicultural settings.
