Pantemonium!

Peter Bently, who won the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, wrote this comic tale about a pair of enormous frilly pink pants that nothing in the village is safe from. Fred the Giant sets out to go fishing, but when he casts his line, his oversized underwear snags on the hook.

What follows is a chain reaction as the pants are dragged through the streets. Along the way they sweep up a cat, the local baker along with every cake in his shop, and a fire engine, with room to spare for more.
