Payment Deferred

The young woman with the guileless expression sitting outside his Legal Advice office looks too young to stand the pace as his assistant. But Fizz's innocent appearance belies the reality. Soon to be a mature student of law, she's very bright, utterly single-minded--and has a rare talent for making people talk. People like Murray Kingston, who Tam, to his horror, finds ensconced in the office late one morning. As far as Tam's concerned, their friendship ended the day Murray was convicted of molesting his daughter. But Murray's desperate plea that he was framed has persuaded Fizz, and somehow Tam finds himself digging into the past. Soon Fizz is convinced she knows who set Murry up--but then begins to wonder if her confidence in Murray's innocence is entirely justified. This novel is set against a backdrop of busy Edinburgh streets and the Scottish Borders countryside.
