Piggy

Piggy is a stuffed pig who has been at his human's side since the very first days of babyhood. Wherever the two of them go, they go together, whether it is bedtime, mealtime or playtime. Best friends do everything side by side, and these two are no exception.

But time leaves its mark on a much-loved toy. Piggy starts out plump, perky and pink. Then the years roll by, and one trip after another through the washing machine takes its toll. The soft new plaything slowly becomes something even better: a worn, faded and thoroughly treasured companion.

Written by Ann Hood and illustrated by Anna Quaranta, this gentle picture book is a warm tribute to the lasting bond between a child and a favorite stuffed animal. It will ring true for any family with a cherished toy that has been hugged, dragged along and loved to pieces.
