Taika is the Second Wyvern of the Blue Dragons, chosen above all others for his prowess, cunning and fighting ability, and for the one skill every Blue Dragon Warrior shares: he can find anything. If a grandmother loses her favorite reading glasses, a child loses his homework, or someone misplaces car keys, sunglasses or a wandering dog, Taika is the one people call. The only thing he has never been able to find is his one true mate.

Lena sings as well as any country star, but she is stuck in her small hometown, working as a Dolly Parton impersonator and caring for her sick mother. She is drawn to the big, tough stranger who has arrived in town, and she might have a chance with him if creepy Billy would stop spilling hot sauce on her and on the man. Instead, she ends up recruited to help him find a wife, or a mate, as he and his friends put it.

Bringing these two fated mates together takes a rhubarb festival, some schmoonshine, a quest for the treasure of the golden dragon's egg, and a little help from some meddling matchmakers. There is also the matter of the mysterious dark forces trying to steal everyone's souls.
