Poet's Compilation

Five slim volumes make up this poetry collection by Anthony Francis Balinger. Across its pages, the verses honour the pleasure of being alive, the many guises in which nature shows its grace, the lasting force of love, and the balance and beauty found in shape and form. Visual images are layered alongside the words, giving the thoughts and feelings on the page a sense of depth and presence.

Each of the five books follows its own path through the author's reflections. Among the questions taken up are what love truly is, where happiness comes from, what time means, and what reaches the soul. The poems also dwell on the Earth's steady abundance, portraying it as a nurturing mother.

Running through the work is a gentle reminder that our stay in this world is brief, and that every living thing deserves care and regard.
