Point Guard Pride

Joining a new school is hard enough, and joining a new basketball team can feel even harder. Yasmin Jones is the newcomer on her team, and when one of her teammates treats her unfairly because of her race, Yasmin decides to handle it without asking anyone for help. Her plan is simple: show the team what she can do on the court and earn her place as a top player. Yet the harder she tries, the more the strain gets to her, and her performance starts to slip. The story follows Yasmin as she searches for a way to deal with both the conflict on her team and the difficulties she faces off the court.
