Powerful Enemies

This spy thriller is the follow-up to Body Count in Terry Toler's series about Jamie Austen and Alex Halee. The story opens with a new CIA director, Neal Fuller, who has made Jamie and Alex his targets. He intends to close down AJAX and see both of them charged with treason. Jamie and Alex have a scheme of their own, but the forces lined up against them are strong, and the book is built around a clear struggle between good and evil, with the question of who will prevail driving the plot.

The series is best read in order, since each entry builds on the last. Each book can also be read alone, with its own storyline and a resolved ending.
