Promposal

Autumn Reeves is a high school senior whose dream college has put her on its waitlist, so she needs a way to rise above the other applicants. When a promposal she designs for a friend draws requests from half her senior class, she sees a business opportunity: Promposal Queen, a venture that would also look impressive on her college application. Autumn has no idea how to launch a company, so she joins the Young Black Entrepreneurs group and comes face to face with Mekhi Winston.

Mekhi is the boy whose kiss during freshman year meant everything to Autumn and nothing to him, and the fallout cost her a best friend. He is also the only person with the experience she needs, which leaves her wondering whether she can trust him at all. With her dreams on the line, she decides the risk is worth taking. She tells herself Mekhi can be a useful business partner without ever being someone she lets near her heart again.

Things grow more complicated when working with Mekhi threatens her one chance to repair her friendship with her former best friend. Long-buried secrets then surface and endanger Promposal Queen. Autumn's heart is not the only thing at risk, since her entire future hangs in the balance. Fans of Tweet Cute and Excuse Me While I Ugly Cry may enjoy this fast-moving rom-com.
