Pushing the Limits

Vice Admiral Allan Rockwell McCann did not leave memoirs or personal reflections that would show how he experienced his long naval career. Naval historian Carl LaVO fills that gap with this biography, drawing a portrait of the man and his service.

The book is a long-overdue tribute to an admiral of real importance whom naval history has largely overlooked.
