Raging Jake

Jake has built a career as a professional cage fighter, but he has left a painful past behind only in name. His anger and self-destructive habits make him a hard man to be around, and few fighters want to share a ring with him or a manager willing to take him on. When word arrives that his mother has died in a strange car crash, his already difficult life gets worse. He has to travel home to the Australian outback for her funeral and to take over the family pub.

The family he finds is coming apart. His estranged father is keeping a secret that Jake cannot decode, his younger brother has vanished, and a stash of money turns up that makes Jake's suspicions harder to ignore. The more he looks, the less he trusts the story he has been given about his mother's death and the roles his father and brother may have played in it.

Jake has to control the rage that has always driven him, track down his brother, and uncover his father's secret while the truth remains out of reach. The outback setting, a tense family drama, and a fighter's volatile temper come together in this action-driven crime thriller.
