Rain storm

John Rain, a professional killer who takes contracts for money, receives a job from the CIA: eliminate an arms broker in Southeast Asia who equips criminal organizations. Once he starts, the assignment begins to unravel. A rival assassin has moved into the picture, and Rain suspects he has been deliberately set up.

Rain is the central figure of Barry Eisler's John Rain series, a half-Japanese, half-American operative whose skills make him useful to intelligence agencies and dangerous to everyone else. The novel is a fast-paced espionage thriller built on tense plotting and the constant question of who can be trusted.
