Rainbow Drive

Michael Gallagher was twelve when a speeding truck struck down his father, an activist who had been pushing for public housing and had clashed with the city's most crooked officials. Michael believed those officials were behind the crash, and as the coffin went into the earth he resolved to get even, however many years it took.

Years later Michael is a Los Angeles police officer. One night gunfire wakes him, and from his window he watches helicopters and patrol cars converge on a crime scene. The operation is enormous, yet the next morning no record of it appears in the department's logs. Determined to uncover what happened, he plunges into the city's darkest corners, where he may learn the truth about his father's death, provided he survives the search.
