Ravaged Crown

After catching her husband with another woman, the narrator fled with only the clothes she was wearing. A month later she has no money, no job, and nearly no place to live. While covering a shift as a server at an upscale restaurant, a stumble sends her crashing into a striking man she has never met. The two spend the night together, and he leaves at dawn. She assumes that is the end of it.

The next day her temp agency sends her to a job interview that sounds almost unbelievable. When she walks in, she recognizes the man from the night before. He is wealthy and holds real power. He proposes that she move into his home, become his wife, and give him a child. Flustered, she tells him she will need time to think it over, and he makes clear that she has no choice in the matter.

Ravaged Crown is Book One of the Solovev Bratva duet. The story is completed in Book 2, Ravaged Throne.
