Ready, Set, Go!

Miranda's father has signed up for his first ever marathon, but the two of them arrive at the start too late to catch the opening. Dad realizes he forgot his lucky water bottle and asks Miranda to run back to the car and fetch it. She has not located the bottle before the starting horn sounds and the race begins. Holding the bottle, Miranda sets off along the course to track down her father. Along the way she climbs hills, rushes past runners in tutus, vegetable costumes and everyday clothes, and asks each of them whether they have seen her dad. A few are friendly, a few pay her no mind, and one or two tease her as a pipsqueak, yet no one has spotted him. At last she reaches the finish line, where she finds her father and a surprise waiting for her.
