Reality Check

Charles Forrest spent nearly forty years searching for clear, workable answers about Christian faith, moving past stock phrases and easy slogans. The result is this book, which tests its answers against a standard of practical sense and aims to make them easy to follow. Its stated purpose is to offer guidance toward a more abundant and satisfying way of living.

The book takes up a set of pointed questions that many believers ask. It considers what God expects of people, what they can reasonably expect from God, and what a Christian is meant to do day to day. It also addresses why some prayers seem to go unanswered, what role Jesus plays in a believer's life, what might be overlooked in our idea of fairness, and whether God can truly be called loving.
