Reggie

Readers who enjoy Babymouse and Owly may want to meet Reginald "Reggie" Guinn, a young penguin with an outsized personality. This early entry in a graphic novel series follows him through ordinary days filled with mischief and excitement. Reggie is always on the lookout for fun and adventure, but his inquisitive, lively nature regularly lands him in hot water. He tries trimming his own hair before picture day and ends up gluing his feathers back onto his head. He sneaks a bite of cookie dough and then becomes convinced the sun is baking treats inside his belly. On a walk to the park, he is put on a kid leash by his babysitter and responds by acting like a dog. Kid Penguin gathers six humorous stories that explore themes familiar to young children, all told from the perspective of this spirited little bird.
