RETROSPECT

McKenna Scott, known as Mac, vanished and was presumed dead. Two years later she walks into a London hospital, alive but barely holding together. Her body is covered in scars, she cannot bear to be touched even though she craves human contact, and she remembers nothing of what happened to her.

Mac tries to settle back into a life that now feels foreign to her. She grieves for the confident, fun-loving woman she used to be, and she is angry about losing her. Hoping for answers, she turns to a therapist, Alisha Cole, who helps her recover fragments of terrible memories. It becomes clear that being home does not mean being free.

Treating her scars and scattered memories as a map, Mac starts investigating her own disappearance. Where was she held, and why was she taken? A growing love she did not expect and a desperate need to be rid of what still haunts her push her to rebuild herself and find new strength. Getting away was only the first step, and Mac intends to make those responsible pay.

This is a lesbian thriller with a dark, bold and sensual tone.
