Revival Preaching

Ernie Klassen's work focuses on how God's people are revived and how those who are lost come to awakening. He holds that preaching which honors God, lifts up Christ, and relies on the Holy Spirit plays a vital part in both.

Jonathan Edwards is the primary model for this kind of preaching. He pastored during the First Great Awakening and thought carefully and critically about the religious movements of his era. His reflections and sermons offer rich raw material for thought.

The book distills the most important lessons from Edwards's writings and sermons and applies them to preaching in today's world.
