Rhiannon

Rhiannon is a coming-of-age graphic novel in the vein of This One Summer. Rhia has lived with her aunt since she was little, in a sleepy, sun-soaked trailer park called the Golden Canyon Retirement Community. Surrounded by senior citizens, she is usually the only kid around, except in summer, when her best friend Kit comes for a long visit.

This summer is different. The easy friendship between Rhiannon and Kit has become awkward. A new teenager has also arrived in the park: Elizabeth, who is hip, confident and a bit of a troublemaker, and the opposite of Rhiannon in nearly every way. Elizabeth has a secret, and it will test the friendship between Rhiannon and Kit.

The book is by Kiara Brinkman and is published by First Second.
