Robby

K. G. Subramanyan (1924–2016) was one of India’s most eminent artists who worked with diverse media and materials, and exhibited extensively both within and outside the country. He was known as much for his wide-ranging scholarship as for his artworks full of wit, subversion, folklore and critical social commentary. His illustrated books for children bear testimony to this multifaceted talent, and Seagull Books is proud to present a series of ten such books that should be essential reading for today’s children. ‘Do you think it’s funny for one to be so many?’ From being a jolly little polly to a but-butting billy, young Robby discovers the beauty of having great many identities!
