Ross Taylor

Few cricketers have built a career that is as easy to measure as Ross Taylor's. For New Zealand at international level, he has scored more runs, made more centuries and taken more catches than anyone else. He was also the first New Zealander to play 450 international matches, and the first player from any country to appear 100 times in each of Test cricket, one-day internationals and Twenty20.

Those totals, however, leave out much of what shaped his path. The circumstances of his rise were in some respects unusual, perhaps even one of a kind, and the numbers do not reveal them. This book looks at the person behind the record.

It traces the full story of how Taylor reached the top of his sport, from its beginnings to the end of his career, in a single continuous account.
