Ruthless Stranger

The narrator's friends secretly strike a bargain with a man on her behalf, and she agrees to spend a night with him under strict conditions. She will never learn his name, what he does, or what his face looks like. The only thing she carries away from their encounter is the memory of an expensive silk tie. Their meeting takes place in Las Vegas, where he tells her plainly that he is dangerous, though she sees nothing of that side of him. What she does notice is his Russian accent, his appealing scent, and a touch that sets her body alight. A single night becomes a second, and then they part ways.

Fate brings them together again when she encounters him in Chicago. She recognizes him immediately, even though she has never seen those pale blue eyes before. Their attraction proves even stronger than it was in Vegas. The story keeps returning to the idea that he never lied to her about his ruthless nature.

Ruthless Stranger is the first book in the Mafia Wars series. It is an interconnected dark mafia romance that can also be read as a standalone, and the author promises a happily-ever-after ending.
