Sacrifice

Rox has at last been reunited with her family in Singapore, in the tropical part of Southeast Asia. Gone are the years of scavenging through bins, wearing donated clothes from shelters, and never staying anywhere long. The move gives her a fresh start and room to discover who she is.

Her hopes are shaken when the scientist who experimented on her ten months earlier tracks her to the city. The threat puts the people she loves in danger and places heavy strain on the bonds she has been carefully rebuilding.

Disappearing again is tempting, but Rox has grown weary of running. She is ready to stand against this enemy, even if it means giving up everything to do it.
