Safe Place

Emily Proudman takes a job she hopes will reset her life. Her London life has become chaotic, so she accepts a post on a country estate in France, where she will help her employers' wife look after their young daughter. On paper it is a fresh start.

After she arrives, Emily begins to doubt that the family is being open with her. The glossy surface of the estate may be hiding something dangerous. She keeps wondering why they were relocated to a remote house far from home, and why the little girl will neither speak nor allow anyone to touch her. Nighttime brings strange whispers.

The more Emily uncovers, the harder it becomes to see a way out. Phones and outside contact are restricted, and the house seems to close in around her.
