Savage Interlude

Kate has good reason to feel trapped. Actor James St. Just took her under his wing and brought her into the world of the stage, and he is the closest thing to family she has, since he treats her as a sister. Yet the two cannot tell anyone that they are siblings, so the people around them assume they are lovers.

That assumption reaches movie producer Damien Savage, who is equally attractive and used to getting his way. He argues that if Kate can share a home with James, she can share one with him. Kate wants nothing of the kind.
