Saving Ariel

Ariel Matthews finds comfort in the pages of her favorite novels, following characters through their journeys and far-off adventures. Her own history is harder to leave behind. A traumatic event keeps surfacing in her thoughts, and she struggles to find any lasting calm from the memories it leaves her with.

Her life takes a turn when Axel Stone starts coming into the coffee shop where she works. For the first time, Ariel allows herself to hope that happiness could be within reach. Yet both of them carry pasts they have not dealt with, and when those histories resurface, neither is prepared for the damage that follows.
