Scholastic Learning Express Level 2

Designed for families who want extra practice at home, this colorful workbook also suits after-school and enrichment settings. Its activities are ones teachers recommend for working through skills on one's own.

Each book includes bright, engaging pages meant to keep young learners interested, along with short assessments that show whether a child has grasped each topic. Stickers offer small rewards along the way, and a completion certificate marks the finished book.

The lessons cover short and long vowel sounds, diphthongs, and using context clues to work out unfamiliar words. Readers also practice finding main ideas and details, making predictions, putting events in order, sorting and comparing items, and drawing conclusions and inferences. The book is intended for Grade 2.
