Science T Level

This textbook is for students beginning a T Level in Science and aiming for a career in the field. It covers the Core content of the course, giving clear definitions alongside practice questions to build the skills and confidence needed for the written assessment and the industry placement. It was created in partnership with NCFE and written by Stephen Hoare.

Each chapter opens with short summaries and learning outcomes. The text helps develop scientific, mathematical, technical and communication skills, and highlights key scientific terms with definitions so they are easier to understand and remember. 'Test yourself' activities let students track their progress and check their understanding.

For the placement, the book offers tips on good workplace practice, along with case studies and activities based on real-life situations that build problem-solving skills. For assessment, it provides knowledge-based questions and scenario-based activities, plus model answers for the extended response questions.

The book covers the Core content for Science T Level. The Occupational Specialisms for the course are Laboratory Sciences, Food Sciences and Metrology Sciences.
