SELFPLEX

Inspired by the construction of the literary persona JT LeRoy, “SELFPLEX” follows a struggling 40-year-old writer and phone sex worker who becomes an unlikely sensation after she assumes the identity of a fictional teenager named Jeremy. > *“Although some aspects of ‘SELFPLEX’ are confusing at first, DeFazio’s absorbing script eventually made me eager to see what would happen to all his fictional characters—especially, oddly enough, the most fictional of them all: Jeremy.”* — Time Out New York
