Shadow Rider

Stefano Ferraro is a man who takes whatever catches his eye, whether it is a sports car or a woman. His name turns up often in the gossip pages, but his real work is running the Ferraro family's businesses in Chicago, some of them lawful and some far from it.

Police and the press only whisper about the family's criminal side, and nothing has ever been proven. What outsiders do not know is stranger than any rumor. The Ferraros are shadow riders, able to bend light and darkness to their will. Stefano has always believed the gift belonged to his bloodline alone, but something is about to challenge that assumption.

Francesca Cappello arrives in Chicago with almost nothing left, hoping to build a new life. She does not expect to draw the eye of Stefano, who looks at her with fierce, single-minded intent and is determined to make her his, to shield her and to satisfy her. Yet Francesca is hiding something, and if he learns what it is, it could cost her everything. This is the first book in Christine Feehan's Shadow Riders paranormal romance series.
