She Writes

She Writes is a collection of short stories by twelve women writers from different parts of India, put together by Random House India in partnership with MSN. The stories cover a lot of emotional ground. One follows a woman stuck in a suffocating marriage who stumbles on a shocking discovery. In another, a dead tree suddenly dredges up a memory that had long been buried. A third has a woman who calls herself a nun finding love in a Tibetan monastery, where she did not expect it. The contributors are Anisha Bhaduri, Geeta Sundar, Sheela Jaywant, Prarthana Rao, Aprameya Manthena, Chitralekha, Belinder Dhanoa, Yishey Doma, Santana Pathak, Amrita Saikia, Jyotsna Jha and Shreya Manjunath. Together they offer a showcase of new writing talent from across the country.
